“A Fall From Grace” is Tyler Perry’s first movie on Netflix. The Movie is basically about a middle-aged woman indicted for murdering her husband. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Tyler Perry production without a twist and many turns. It is a mix of Temptation and Acrimony with a dash of Woman Thou Art Loosed?!
If you’re like me, your timeline rather it was Instagram or Facebook was filled with memes, reviews,& jokes all about this film. So I must admit I was intrigued by what was all the hype about. HONEY – I was thoroughly entertained by the horrible wigs to the production mishaps I caught throughout the film! I didn’t exactly hate the movie. I saw the twist coming a mile away, it was ok. The entire cast was great so they were the strongest part of the film for me. Other than that I fell like I’ve seen this plot before, I am still confused as to why my Facebook timeline was acting like this was the best movie ever.
Let’s Talk Details
The Actors were amazing, the setting and the sets looked great, however, the production just looked cheap (the lighting, the cameras/ cinematography of it all). I literally kept adjusting my tv settings because I couldn’t see some of the scenes because it was too dark. No Shade to Mr. Perry, I just think the majority of his work is not made for me. I’d like to see some new storylines and genres from him in the future.
I am not sure what Tyler Perry has against good hairstylists because all the wigs were terrible! Mechad’s wig really made me mad, looking like Larry Blackmon from Cameo, lmao.
Did yall peep how the main character HAIR changed mid-scene! I can’t make this up if I tried! Who was doing the editing and didn’t catch this?
Twitter is catching all the major production mistakes. There is a scene where they are in a restaurant on their first date and the extra is in the background drinking NO water out of his cup LMAO! Then on top of that the scene where she gets a text from him, it was zoomed in (thanks to twitter) and you can see the text was actually a screenshot of a text from the camera roll, on a phone with NO SIM CARD! Tyler Perry filmed this entire movie in a wk and honey it shows.
This makes me have a newfound respect for all the production people who make sure to get all these little details right.
Mr. Perry will always have my respect, but he treats his movies and Tv shows like a Ford assembly line lol.
